deejay (my Dad) I think you have done a terrific job so far with our family tree and I am very proud of what you had done
Richard Wilkinson, Springfield, IL, USA My Grandmother was Janet Russell McAuley and My Grand father was John Bolin McAuley. I visited John Russell and Minie in 1955, Alex Russell and his daughter Margaret in 2004, and also Jim Duncan in London in 2004. I have tried to trace the family tree without much luck. I was glad when Margaret emailed me to send David what I had. I was surprised to find out it was all wrong. I am pleased to have the correct information. Keep up the good work David. I hope to get back to Scotland soon to visit. Your cousin and friend Richard D Wilkinson
Kevin Jamieson, England I think this website is great. I'm looking for my family tree but no luck. So if anybody has William henry-Walter-Janet-Mary and David around 1880's i'm looking to do my family tree and if you can help i would be greatful.

KEVIN, you never left an email address for me to contact you so please use the Contact Me page to drop me a note.

William Russell, Liverpool, UK Thanks for making this work available. I'm just beginning to investigate the Russell lineage of my family. My Father was John Henry Albert Russell b. 1929, son of John Henry who's father was also John/Henry or both. We know our roots go back to a certain Captain Russell from somewhere in Scotland who came to Liverpool--probably d uring the mid-1800's period of industrialization which transformed Liverpool into the mega-port of the empire and brought migrant workers--especially mariners--from all quarters. While it seems unlikely that any direct ties exist between our families I am curious about the "Unknown" son of William...

If you or anyone reading this comment has any information that might help please contact me Congratulations on this tremendous site and good luck with your brick-wall! Best wishes, William.
